Please join us for our August online Zoom AFP Alaska Chapter Lunch and Learn with presenters Ann Hale and Gretchen Gordon presenting on "Ethics in Fundraising" 

Get ready for AFP’s Ethics Awareness Month in October by teasing your brain and warming up your ethics muscles.   Join Gretchen Gordon, CFRE, AFP Master Trainer, and Ann Hale, CFRE for a fun and interactive virtual session about how to ensure ethical practice in fundraising for yourself and your organization. 

The presentation will include:  Ethics 101 – a quick overview of ethical principles and practice with a review of resources available to aid in your ethical decision making; small group discussions of a real-world ethics case study; and finally, a rousing game of Ethics Jeopardy, with special guest hosts you won’t want to miss.

Cost is $10 for AFP members and $15 for non-members.

Ann Hale, CFRE has over 25 years of experience in fundraising and development. She has held development management positions for organizations including the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts (1997 to 2002), Alaska Pacific University (2002 to 2009), and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska (2010-2012). She currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at the Anchorage Museum. Ann received her Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) designation in September of 2001 and holds a master’s degree in Philanthropy and Development from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. In 2001 she was honored with receiving AFP Alaska Chapter’s Outstanding Development Professional Award for 2001. Ann is a Past President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals - Alaska Chapter, and served as Chair of the AFP Global Board of Directors in 2017 and 2018 representing AFP’s 32,000 members across the globe.

Gretchen Gordon, CFRE
is the General Manager at KUAC public radio and television for Interior Alaska. She is a CFRE, an AFP Master Trainer, and a University of Texas graduate.  She is an AFP-Alaska past president and received the Outstanding Professional in Philanthropy for Alaska. She currently serves on the AFP Foundation Fundraising Board and chairs the AFP Chapter Major Gift Committee. At home, Gretchen is immediate past president the Rotary Club of Fairbanks and volunteers at Breadline/Stone Soup.  Gretchen thinks Ann Hale is the best thing since sliced bread (and she really, really likes bread).
