Tammy Tragis-McCook’s journey started deep in the heart of Texas at Texas A&M before life brought her north to Alaska, where she completed her Bachelor’s and MBA at UAF. Tammy has worn many hats across the UA system—from guiding the next generation in Orientation and First Year Students to connecting with the community at KUAC public broadcasting. In 2009, she found her home at the College of Business and Security Management as the Director of Development and Outreach, where she’s been the bridge between students, businesses, alumni, and donors ever since. Earning her CFRE in 2011, Tammy not only drives fundraising efforts but also keeps up with current marketing concepts as a UAF instructor for principles of marketing and social media marketing. When she’s not crafting campaigns or teaching, Tammy explores Alaska with her spouse on their ATVs, tries healthy recipes, or trains for her next triathlon.
