The day will begin with the presentation of the 2018 Giving USA Annual Report on Philanthropy followed by a panel discussion lead by Richard Tollefson, Founder and President of The Phoenix Philanthropy Group, on the impact and key takeaways from the report that impact our daily work as fundraisers. The panel will focus on how this information can inform the focus and efforts of your organizations fundraising programs.

Afternoon workshops:
The focus for the educational workshop is building a culture for major gift fundraising and how every level of your organization is a part of building this culture. There will be a separate workshop for each staff level of the organization.

Track 1CEO, BOD & Exec. Team Session: Richard Tollefson
Participants will learn about their unique role in facilitating the culture, participating in the process and aligning with their fundraising staff

Track 2Fundraisers Session: Mike Remedi, Senior Director of Development Principal Giving, ASU Foundation
Participants will learn more about their role, not just as the fundraiser, but as the facilitator who engages their CEO, Board Members and program staff in the cultivation process.

Track 3 - Support & program staff session: Kado Stewart, Programs Director one-n-ten & Nathan A. Smith, Director of Community Engagement, Phoenix Rescue Mission
Participants will learn more how their roles are critical to identification, cultivation and stewardship, and how they play a part in the overall strategy of a major gift program.
