If you are a nonprofit professional tasked with some (or all) of your organization’s marketing and development, you’ve likely been told by numerous board members, volunteers, and even other staff that if you just focused your time on (insert any number of tactics and audiences here) your organization would be reaching more people and raising more money. But even if you had time to chase every new social media trend, or focus on every demographic under the sun, you still wouldn’t reach your goal – because time and money are not the problem.

In this program, we’ll discuss why audience focus is the game changer in effective communications. We’ll share a case study of how conducting audience research reveals the people an organization needs to thrive, creating a shared vision of the future. When you know your core, you can grow in ways that build on what your key supporters value. In turn, this will help you prioritize your marketing efforts and better communicate with your donors.

You’ll learn:

  • How to identify and understand your most critical current audience
  • How to expand toward new audiences without losing your base
  • How to engage your staff in a culture of change
  • How to use audience research to create a clear brand, prioritize your marketing plan, and more effectively communicate with your donors.
