One of the more difficult tasks in fundraising is motivating and inspiring members of your board of directors to identify and solicit prospective donors. In this session, Rich Przywara will provide a new approach to prospect identification and demonstrate an effective way to get your board members to actually solicit new prospects. The exercise you will learn during this workshop can be used during a board meeting and provides a proven technique to actively engage board members in raising funds to support your mission.
During this workshop, you will learn how to:
- Identify new prospects for fundraising
- Engage your board members in action steps with these prospects
- Introduce an accountability step for board member

About the Presenter
Richard Przywara, CFRE, MPA is President & CEO of Woodlawn Trustees, the Todmorden Foundation, and the Rockford Woodlawn Fund. He was previously Vice President of Resource Development for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware, and Executive Vice President of Operations for Ashley Addiction Treatment.
Prior to joining Ashley, he was Executive Director of the West Chester University Foundation, responsible for over $50 million in fundraising and leading a $200 million revitalization project of the student residence halls.
Rich has also been general manager of the Department of Special Services for New Castle County, Delaware, where he supervised a staff of over 450 and managed an annual operating and capital budget exceeding $100 million. He has served as Associate Dean for Alumni and Development at Widener University School of Law and has been a former YMCA Executive Director and Director of Development for YMCAs in Maryland and Delaware.
He received his B.A. in Criminal Justice and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Delaware.
