Creating a culture of ethics and accountability is critical for nonprofit organizations to attract and retain donors and volunteers. This session will cover best practices and common ethical dilemmas, many unique to the nonprofit industry, from an auditor’s perspective.

About the Presenter:

Jonathan D. Moll, CPA is Director – Accounting & Auditing and Nonprofit Practice Group Chair at Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, CPAs. Jon specializes in serving the accounting needs of nonprofit organizations and tax-exempt entities, including those with annual Yellow Book or Single Audit requirements. Jon’s client service philosophy is driven by a focus on responsiveness and maintaining continuous and candid communication. Focusing on the needs of his nonprofit clients, Jon facilitates public presentations on various topics relating to nonprofit organizations, their boards, and trade organizations. He also initiated and leads the firm’s nonprofit blog – The Belfint Nonprofit Ledger. 

Jon is President of the Board of Accountancy of the State of Delaware's Division of Professional Regulation, Past Board of Trustees Member and Treasurer of St. Anne’s Episcopal School in Middletown, Delaware, and a member of the Delaware Business Times 40 Under 40 Class of 2015.
