As corporate philanthropy continues to expand and evolve, corporate fundraisers are eager to build new relationships and grow their portfolios. Despite increased enthusiasm and resources from potential corporate partners, the initial act of getting in the door and finding the right point of contact can often be a challenge. This workshop will highlight best practices in how to research potential partners, successfully conduct cold outreach, and begin creating warm relationships that can last a lifetime.

Stephen Brown
Senior Director, Corporate Relations, American Cancer Society
Stephen Brown has over a decade of experience in the corporate philanthropy field, focusing on relationship activation, partner stewardship, grant writing, board oversight, and volunteer management. He has spent his entire career in the non-profit field, dedicating himself to a wide variety of initiatives including youth development, adult education, workforce development, and human services. He recently joined American Cancer Society after a five year tenure with The Salvation Army.
