About Stacey Wedding

While her clients fondly refer to her as the fairy godmother of nonprofits, Stacey Wedding describes herself as a “Proud Board Nerd” with a passion for moving boards from surviving to thriving. Stacey has spent 25 years devoted to elevating charitable organizations from the inside out, building organizational capacity to change our communities, countries, and world.

Stacey’s specialty is helping boards and chief executives adopt a partnership mindset while maintaining a healthy balance of governance and support. Additionally, Stacey and her team at The Stacey Wedding Group provide expertise in organizational development, strategic thinking and planning, and executive coaching.

Prior to establishing her company, Stacey began her career in Corporate Communications & Community Relations at NV Energy and later moved into an executive staff position at the Nevada Community Foundation, where she helped grow the organization from $10 million to $35 million.

A lifelong Nevada resident, Stacey’s journey into the magical and sometimes messy world of nonprofits began at the age of 5 when she helped her mom—an Executive Director at the time—fundraise for a cure for Type 1 diabetes, the disease Stacey has lived with since the age of 2.

To say philanthropy is in her blood is an understatement. Stacey and her team contribute 150 hours of volunteer time annually, and she donates 10% of her company’s annual revenues. Her own board service is as chair of Wagging Tails Rescue and chair of the UNLV Honors College, her alma mater.
