The Nonprofit Planning Process: Creating Strategic, Fundraising, and Marketing/Communications Plans
Description:
Nonprofit planning is a sequential process that begins with the Strategic Plan—focused on defining the case for support, organizational priorities and SMART goals—which then informs the Fundraising Plan, including fundraising audits, readiness assessments, goals, strategies and budgets. This work is extended through the Marketing and Communications Plan, which aligns target audiences, value propositions, brand positioning and philanthropic messaging. This workshop introduces the rationale for planning and guides participants in using practical templates, forms, checklists and tools to develop all three interconnected plans.
You will earn 1.5 cfre-eligible continuing education credits.

- The Fundraising Plan: Templates support the creation of a fundraising plan, starting with an audit and readiness assessment to inform goals, strategies, and budgets.
- The Marketing and Communications Plan: Templates will guide the development of target audiences, value propositions, public relations activities, brand and positioning statements, and a cohesive communications plan that connects philanthropic messages with donors, clients, and stakeholders.
