About Our Presenters: JP Bareng Schumacher - Director, Student Equity, MiraCosta College
JP has a strong personal and professional commitment to social justice education and working with underrepresented groups. His community engagement includes prior service on boards of directors for organizations that serve Asian and Pacific Islander LGBTQIA+ populations. JP holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from UCLA.
Jodi Mulhall - Coordinator, Student Equity, MiraCosta College
Equity and inclusion have always been at the core of Jodi’s pedagogy as an instructor at UCSD and University of San Diego, and these values also inform her work in the Student Equity Department at MiraCosta College. She holds a master’s degree of Literature in Spanish from UCSD.

Identify how to recognize micro-aggressions - and avoid them
Cultivate supportive environments that inspire sincerity
