Fundraising Horror Stories:
Ethically Responsible Fundraising in the 21st Century

The Association of Fundraising Professionals has a Code of Ethical Standards outlining the belief that ethical behavior fosters our profession and enhances philanthropy and volunteerism. While we may all agree to this, what does this mean in our day-to-day application?

Our October AFP gathering will have an engaging presentation and interactive discussion on:

1. The ethical requirements of the non-profit organization
2. The responsibilities of the fundraising staff and leadership of the institution
3. The charitable intentions of the donor’s themselves.

We’ll take a philosophical dive into the foundations of ethics and then apply what we’ve learned to real-world scenarios that you might actually encounter through case studies and “what would you do” discussions.
