    Want to know how to develop an effective communications strategy to support your fundraising goals? Caitlin Scott will identify key audiences for fundraising efforts; develop messages that will resonate with those audiences and identify tactics to reach them; and help participants understand how to use social media, traditional media, digital assets, and other tools to effectively fundraise. She will also offer high-level recommendations on communicating during COVID-19.

  • AFP Silicon Valley Chapter Named a 2020 Ten Star Chapter!

    Every year, AFP honors chapters for achieving goals that align with key objectives in its long-range strategic plan. Chapters receive the Ten Star Award for performing specific activities designed to increase professionalism within fundraising and public awareness of the importance of philanthropy. Just one-third of all AFP chapters are named Ten Star Chapters, so the Silicon Valley Chapter is one of a select group of chapters to earn this honor.

  • Silicon Valley Philanthropy Day Nominations Temporarily on Hold

    Due to Covid-19 and our statewide shelter-in-place order we are closing nominations for Silicon Valley Philanthropy Day 2020 through April 30.  We understand that many of our members and friends are struggling with many competing demands at the moment and we wish to relieve the stress that filling out a nomination form might bring at this time.

  • March Luncheon Has Been Cancelled

    Given the latest recommendations from the County of Santa Clara Public Health Department, we have decided to cancel our monthly luncheon and workshop scheduled for Tuesday, March 17. If you are registered for the luncheon and/or workshop, you will receive an automatic refund on the credit card that you used to register. For information, contact president@afpsv.org.

    We are accepting applications for our 2020 Mentorship Program! The Mentorship Program supports a mentoring relationship in a "work friendly" structured program that offers one-on-one coaching sessions committed to meeting your personal and career goals.
