David Cortes serves as Assistant Vice President for Development at Baylor University.  He currently oversees a team of 8 regional development officers, a territory in the Northeast and development efforts for the Honors College.  Prior to his current role, he served as Director of Development for University Libraries and then Senior Director of Development for the College of Arts and Sciences.  During the past 8 years at Baylor, he has directly facilitated 50+ gifts and pledges amounting to over $29 million in funds given by generous supporters.  When he isn’t working, David enjoys spending time with his family, camping, biking and running.
