Mrs. Cheryl Gochis was appointed vice president of human resources and chief human resources officer in May 2016 after having served as associate vice president for HR since 2014. She manages and coordinates employment functions at Baylor University that include employee relations, benefits, compensation, recruiting, employee learning, HR compliance, data management, and leadership consulting. She holds a BA and an MA in business and organizational communication, both from Baylor. She is also a certified HR professional and learning specialist. Prior to joining Baylor, Mrs. Gochis worked at Extraco Banks in Waco as the executive vice president of human resources. She also worked at the financial services company USAA in San Antonio. While at USAA, she served in several HR leadership roles.
