The band, Coldplay, had it right: The world is a sky full of stars. With so many possibilities, though, how do you prioritize and optimize? That’s an especially pressing question when it comes to partnering with communications and marketing colleagues– and even more problematic when you don’t have such a team for support.
Join this virtual discussion as we talk about the inherent tension that often exists between fundraising and marketing/communications, and how to mobilize for measurable and meaningful impact.
We will focus on straight talk and best practices, so that you can return to work with a renewed sense of enthusiasm and optimism.
Dave Remund, Ph.D., APR, Fellow PRSA, has led communications and marketing for his alma mater, Drake University, since 2016. Prior to this administrative appointment, he had served on faculty at Drake, the University of Oregon, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he completed his doctorate. Before entering academia, Remund had designed and managed strategic communications programs nationally for Bank of America, Principal, and Wells Fargo; he had also worked for two agencies, most recently as a director of strategic planning. Dave has been nationally accredited since 2003, and in 2015, the Public Relations Society of America named him to its College of Fellows, honoring those who have made a significant lifelong impact on the profession. He serves on the downtown development board for the Greater Des Moines Partnership and the governing board for the Commission on Public Relations Education.
