AND, what does it mean to embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice or belonging into your plan?  The Advancement Team at St. Andrew’s School will walk you through how they create their annual fundraising plan, how they work together and individually, and how they keep DEIJ at the forefront of it all. Join St. Andrew’s School’s Advancement Team for a comprehensive presentation and thoughtful conversation on how to embed diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ) into your annual fundraising plan.

Amanda Kennedy, Chief Advancement Officer 

Amanda Kennedy, CFRE, CFRM, brings over 20 years of experience to the nonprofit sector, ranging from founding a social justice mentoring program to supporting capital campaigns. She received an A.B. in Political Science from Bryn Mawr College, PA and an M.A. in Educational Administration from the University of the Pacific.

 

Terron Watkins, Development Officer

As the Development Officer, Terron handles fundraising leadership and management, cultivation events, and helping donors reach their philanthropic goals. Terron received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Longwood University, and since then has worked in fundraising and development at the Moton Museum, A Grace Place Adult Care Center, & Jackson-Feild Behavioral Health Services.

 

Katelyn Turner, Director of Community Relations

Katelyn brings over 12 years of experience to the nonprofit sector, ranging from communications, marketing, and PR to fundraising and prospect management. Recently, Katelyn served as the co-chair of the DEIJ Task Force at St. Andrew's School. She received her Masters in Print and Multimedia Journalism from Emerson College.

 

Dana Fariss, Advancement Services Coordinator

As the Advancement Services Coordinator, Dana manages all aspects of gift/pledge processing and stewardship, database management and reporting, and donor/prospect research, management, and data entry. Previously, Dana worked at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture Advancement Office. She graduated from VCU with a BS in Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology.

 

Katy Stockdon, Advancement Assistant

As the Advancement Assistant, Katy provides administrative, communications, and stewardship support to the Advancement department.

Full participation in this program is applicable for 1 point in Category 1.B -Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
