Women now control a growing share of philanthropic dollars and are increasingly shaping how giving happens—not just where it goes. From collective giving circles to trust-based philanthropy and relational decision-making, women donors are redefining traditional philanthropic models and expectations of nonprofits.
This panel discussion will explore how gender influences philanthropic behavior, donor engagement, and funding strategies. Drawing from research, lived experience, and nonprofit practice, panelists will examine why women often give differently, how collective giving models build trust and impact, and what fundraisers and nonprofit leaders need to understand to more effectively engage women donors.
Attendees will gain insight into the motivations, values, and decision-making approaches that often characterize women’s philanthropy—and leave with practical strategies for building authentic, values-aligned relationships with women donors and giving circles.
