Creating a Culture of Philanthropy
with
Karen Eber Davis

A culture of philanthropy is a set of organizational values and practices that support and nurture development within a nonprofit organization. It's an important part of building cohesion and teamwork within an organization and it's imperative that every individual understands how they contribute to this culture. Successful organizations engage everyone in raising money. No one can opt out. Everyone means staff and the board, plus volunteers, community members, and even donors. If we fail to invite and engage our whole community in raising resources, we burn-out development staff and lose friendships, gifts, and resources. This session shares a framework to build your culture of philanthropy. It highlights the research Karen Eber Davis conducted on best practices for her 2019 book, Let's Raise Nonprofit Millions Together. You will not want to miss this opportunity!
