  • National Philanthropy Day 2020 Nominees Announced

    Winners will be announced virtually on Nov. 13

    Pensacola, Fla. – The Association of Fundraising Professionals West Florida Chapter proudly announces the nominees for the 2020 National Philanthropy Day Awards, presented by Pen Air Federal Credit Union.

    Several individuals and organizations were nominated for their philanthropic efforts this year including Ann and Jim Neal; Beach Community Bank; Coastal Moving & Storage; Eric Brammer; Faith Health Network of Baptist Health Care; Florida Blue Foundation; International Paper Foundation; Melissa Stephany Johnson; Ora Wills; Santa Rosa Energy Center; Scottish Rite Foundation of Florida; and The Birthday Party.

    Nominees will be recognized during an after-hours social from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12 at UWF Historic Trust Museum Plaza in Downtown Pensacola. All nominees, guests and community members are invited to attend. Winners will be announced during a virtual program released via Facebook Live on Friday, Nov. 13.   • 2020 Board Members Announced

    The Association of Fundraising Professionals West Florida Chapter has announced its 2020 Board of Directors. 

    • President, Florida Caucus Chair – Maegan Leonard, Baptist Health Care Foundation
    • President-Elect, Secretary – Natalie Chism, Dixon School of Arts and Sciences
    • Treasurer – Robin Zimmern, University of West Florida
    • National Philanthropy Day Chair – Lauren Clark, Council on Aging
    • National Philanthropy Day Co-Chair – Meg Bolyard, Pace Center for Girls
    • Communications Chair – Blaise Moehl, United Way of West Florida

    The first meeting and educational luncheon of the year will be held from 11:30am to 1:00pm on Monday, February 10th at Bonefish Grill, 5025 N 12th Avenue. The event is open to members and nonmembers who are interested in furthering their knowledge on a variety of fundraising topics. February’s speaker will be Jacey Cosentino, Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley, who will be presenting on Investing with Impact. The cost to attend is $20 for members and $25 for nonmembers, registration is preferred prior to the event.
