Special Event Fundraising: To Have or Not to Have?

When:  Feb 4, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 01:30 PM (PT)

Special events are often a part of a nonprofit development plan. However, the true purpose of a special event can easily get lost in the flurry of planning activity, and the results usually don’t outweigh the effort. Join us as Ed Lin, JD, CFRE leads an interactive discussion on the pros and cons of special event fundraising. In this session we’ll examine event criteria such as the true purpose, decision making processes, how to fully engage the board, and event myth-busting.

This session is eligible for 1.5 CFRE Education Credits.

The AFP-GSFV 2021 program year focuses on career advancement. Over the course of the year, programs will emphasize core competencies required to attain leadership positions in the fundraising profession.
