Sometimes finding new donors can seem like a fishing expedition in an endless sea of possibilities. Where do you start? In this 90 minute interactive session, we'll share fresh approaches and proven techniques for identifying and attracting new donors. You'll have the opportunity to brainstorm ideas for your non profit.

  • The leaky bucket syndrome.  How to hold and retain new donors.
  • Leveraging your existing network to attract new, committed donors.
  • How to attract Next Gen donors.    
  • Enhancing your organization's visibility. 

About our Speakers
Kathy Kraas, CFRE, President of K2 Consulting Group, a fundraising consulting firm specializing in delivering results for nonprofits, foundations, and associations for over 21 years. Based in Los Angeles, K2 Consulting Group sees every nonprofit’s potential from another point of view and skillfully works side by side with organizations to achieve their ambitious goals. Kathy is creative strategist skilled in navigating challenges, whether it’s board building, case development, major gift acquisition or preparing for or executing a major campaign. She is an alumna of UCLA, studied in Mexico City, and is a CFRE accredited fundraiser and member of AFP Greater Los Angeles Chapter and AFP Greater San Fernando Valley Chapter.

Brandon Leong, CFRE, Vice President of Development & Communications, YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles, has dedicated the past 18 years working in the nonprofit sector with extensive experience in philanthropy, communications, and organizational management. In his current role, he is involved with philanthropy, donor relations, annual giving, capital campaigns, and external communications. Previously, Brandon served as director of development with the Greater Los Angeles Area Council Boy Scouts of America; director of development & communications for Keiro, a Los Angeles-based senior health care organization; and vice president of development at Go For Broke National Education Center. Brandon is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and serves on the board of directors for the AFP Greater Los Angeles Chapter.
