Calling all fundraising professionals! Grab your morning coffee and join us virtually on the fourth Thursday of every month for networking and topic discussions. Each month experts in the field will be on call to lead the topic discussion and answer your questions.
The topic for July is, "Capital Campaigns: From Vision to Reality." Leading this month’s talk is S. Sanae Tokumura, ACFRE, APR, President of Solid Concepts, Inc.
Sanae is the only ACFRE and AFP Master Trainer in Hawaii and is a coach/mentor for many young fundraising professionals. She is a capital campaign specialist and personally prepares/executes all aspects of the drive: case statement, best practice fundraising and public relations infrastructure, comprehensive feasibility study, solicitation training and campaign management. Sanae has contributed 30 years of uninterrupted volunteer leadership to AFP, including serving on the Aloha Chapter board for many years and most recently as its President. She has also served for many years on the AFP Global/International board.
Sanae describes the session as follows:
“From visioning to reality, the excitement and drama of new facility development inspired my company’s name, Solid Concepts. Let me share with you the prerequisites for attaining capital campaign goals. Let’s talk about the campaign’s case statement, recruiting the right campaign chair, expected/unexpected hurdles, the great things that can happen and things you want to avoid. Use this overview as a means to position yourselves (and your leaders) to think strategically, build a committed team of staff and volunteers, and create a positive image for your organization in our community.”
