April Virtual Coffee Talk: Recurring Giving

When:  Apr 22, 2021 from 08:30 AM to 09:15 AM (HAST)
Associated with  AFP HI, Aloha Chapter

Virtual via Zoom

Calling all fundraising professionals!  Grab your morning coffee and join us virtually on the fourth Thursday of every month for networking and topic discussions.  Each month experts in the field will be on call to lead the topic discussion and answer your questions.

The April topic is Recurring Giving. Leading our April talk is Ben Nishimoto, Vice President of Operations and Philanthropy, Honolulu Civil Beat.

If you're not already emphasizing automated recurring giving in your donor communications, or building the backend capacity to steward these gifts...you're missing out!

Revenue from monthly gifts increased by 22% in 2019, more than twice as fast as revenue from one-time gifts. Recurring donors are more loyal and easier to retain, give more over time, and are easier to steer toward higher giving levels.

In this session I'll share how Honolulu Civil Beat built a donor conversion funnel to prioritize recurring gifts and used software solutions to scale its program.

Ben Nishimoto is responsible for executing revenue, engagement, and operating strategies for their small newsroom. Prior to Civil Beat, Ben was the Vice President of Advancement at PBS Hawaii, where he played a leadership role in the station’s capital campaign while also overseeing annual fund strategies.

Questions? Send them in advance to Cathy Alsup at cathy@hopepartnershawaii.com and Ben Nishimoto will answer them during the session.

And what's a Coffee Talk without a few free coffee giveaways? Attendees will have a chance to win a $10 Starbucks gift card!

Registration is required, so don't delay!  There is no charge for this event but you must register in order to participate and receive the Zoom meeting link.
