Brown Bag Series - Building Your Mid-Level Donor Pipeline

When:  Aug 7, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 01:15 PM (ET)
Associated with  AFP IN, Indiana Chapter

Building a pipeline of leadership annual donors that eventually transitions into major gift donors takes more than an excellent direct mail program, but how do you engage and interact with donors who have never received personal contact from your organization? This session will include outreach strategy, securing visits, and how communications with leadership annual donors might be different than major gift work (and where they are the same!).

Caitie Deranek Stewart, Senior Associate Director of Development, Leadership Annual Giving at IU’s School of Medicine, will lead the discussion

Caitie Deranek Stewart is Senior Associate Director of Development, Leadership Annual Giving at the Indiana University School of Medicine, the largest medical school in the country. Caitie’s main focus is to build a leadership annual giving pipeline for the school, striving daily to increase the number of donors in this category and encouraging them to engage more deeply with the School. In 2016, Caitie earned her CFRE credential and completed her dual Master’s program with an MA in Philanthropic Studies from the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and an MPA in Nonprofit Management from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs – IUPUI. When Caitie is not fundraising, she is a professional vocalist and pianist across Central Indiana.
