When:  Jun 5, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM (ET)
Associated with  AFP IN, Indiana Chapter
Are you part of a large fundraising department with several colleagues devoted solely to planned giving?  Then this session is NOT for you.  For others who are part of small shops who have to figure out a planned giving strategy in addition to annual campaigns, special events and why the printer isn't working, Melanie Norton will provide the basics of planned giving and give advice on the best ways to implement a program in your small shop.

Melanie Norton is Founder and Philanthropic Consultant at Norton Philanthropic Counsel.  Prior to the launch of NPC, Melanie was most recently the vice president for development and alumni engagement at DePauw University where she led the successful $320 million comprehensive campaign, surpassing the original goal of $300 million a full 23 months in advance of the targeted campaign end.  In this role, Melanie oversaw the strategy and fundraising efforts for the University and restructured and managed a staff of nearly 40 full-time development and alumni professionals.
