Our Presenters:


Duke Haddad, Ed.D., CFRE

Duke Haddad, Ed.D, CFRE, is a senior level executive with a career history of successfully leading nonprofit organizations. After seven years as Executive Director of Development at The Salvation Army Indiana Division, he recently switched positions to Associate Director of Development in order to focus on capital campaigns and create a new corporate relations/development program.

Duke is also president of Duke Haddad & Associates, a nonprofit consulting firm. A prolific writer, he has contributed articles to national publications based on his many experiences in the voluntary sector. He has been a weekly contributor of articles for Nonprofit PRO Magazine in Philadelphia, PA for the past twelve years. He was featured with a cover story, for NonProfit PRO Magazine in 2018. He won a AHP Journal George A Blakeley, Jr. National Second Award for "Hitting the Corporate Target" in 1993.

Duke has been an Adjunct Professor for Olivet Nazarene University and Nova University. He is currently an instructor with Nonprofit WebAdvisor. Besides being a former AFP Indiana Chapter president and member of the AFP-IC board, he has been a recipient of the AFP Indiana Chapter Fundraising Executive of the Year award and was nominated for this award by the AFP Southwest Ohio Chapter. He was previously recognized with a Sagamore of the Wabash from the Governor of Indiana, Kentucky and West Virginia for this contributions to the Nonprofit profession.


Chrissy Vasquez, CFRE

Chrissy has more than 15 years of experience in non-profit leadership and fund development, to-date raising more than $3,000,000. Chrissy is passionate about building relationships and her expertise is in the areas of board development, individual giving, grants and corporate partnerships. Chrissy is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and has a BS in marketing from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and an MBA in marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Chrissy currently serves as the co-host of the Business Edge Podcast produced by Alpha Kappa Psi.

Chrissy is passionate about triathlon and has completed several 70.3 races and one 140.6 race. She loves music, running, golf, home improvement projects, volunteering and spending time with her rescue animals Boyd (Boxer), Maizey (Pitbull/Lab mix) and Ms. Kitty. Chrissy serves on the board of directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals Indiana Chapter, Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity and Constructing our Future, a nonprofit dedicated to helping formerly incarcerated women restart their lives through permanent housing and sustainable employment. Chrissy also serves on the Kelley School of Business Dean's Council in Indianapolis and is a member of Impact 100.


Barbara Talisman, CFRE, Executive Director, College of Southern Nevada Foundation

Barbara serves the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) as Executive Director of the Foundation. She reports to the CSN President, leads a staff of three and partners with a 13-member Board of Trustees to lift the culture of philanthropy and provide philanthropic support for student success at CSN. 

With more than 30 years in the nonprofit sector, her experience as a philanthropic catalyst has empowered Board members, staff and donors in the United States and overseas to excel at fundraising and even like it! Barbara matches her experience and strategy with best practices to meet stakeholders where they are and where they need to go to move an organization forward. 

Barbara joined CSN Foundation after fundraising for the Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Prior to moving overseas, Barbara lead fundraising efforts at National Public Radio (NPR) and the American Red Cross national headquarters. She has been fundraising for more than 20 years serving the sector with her skills in fundraising, communications, marketing, event planning and board strategy. 

Beyond fundraising, you will most likely find Barbara mentoring a CSN student, walking a dog at the shelter or on social media.
