When:  Feb 23, 2022 from 04:00 PM to 05:00 PM (CT)

Join AFPKC Board Members Chad Harris and Michelle Davis and chat about ways you can use your AFPKC membership beyond attending educational programs. You'll meet AFPKC committee chairs and learn about opportunities for networking (even during COVID) and skill-building. We'll share what's on the horizon for AFPKC, including our growth in IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity and access) programs and services. The Virtual Meetup is a great way to (re)connect with colleagues and make new connections - a vital component of making the most of the AFPKC member experience in 2022! Registration is free; join us!

Hosts:
Michelle Davis
AFPKC Immediate Past President

Michelle is the Executive Director of the International Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) Association; a rare disease patient advocacy organization. The majority of Michelle's career has been spent working in the nonprofit sector; seven years of which were spent leading Nonprofit Connect. In that role, Michelle was exposed to many deserving causes, but her passion has always been in working with patient advocacy organizations, including tenures at the national headquarters of the National Kidney Foundation and Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) Foundation. While at the PKD Foundation, Michelle became acquainted with the rare disease community which is part of what drew her to the IFOPA. At the IFOPA, Michelle leads the staff team and partners with the Board of Directors to execute the organization’s strategic plan. She provides strategic support to fundraising activities and manages the IFOPA's relationships with pharmaceutical partners and advocacy and awareness initiatives.
