When:  Jun 13, 2025 from 08:30 AM to 10:00 AM (CT)

8:30 – Coffee and Networking
9 a.m. – Facilitated Conversation

No cost to attend, but registration is appreciated. Please register by Wednesday, June 11.

Join fellow AFP members for coffee and conversation around the considerations and complex dynamics of philanthropy in the LGBTQ+ community. What ideas, strategies and self-awareness is important to keep in mind when stewarding, communicating and relationship building with LGBTQ+ donors?

Through peer-learning conversation and insights from recent survey findings, learn how nonprofits currently engage the LGBTQ+ community in philanthropy and opportunities for growth and broader inclusion. The session aims to provide strategies for fundraisers to engage LGBTQ+ donors authentically and effectively and to build your own skills in how to appeal to this community beyond Pride Month. This membership meet-up is part of AFPKC’s commitment to AFP Global’s IDEA initiative in helping the fundraising sector and professionals in philanthropy advance inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility.

Facilitators – Chad Harris, Chief Advancement Officer, Cornerstones of Care, and Brian Williams, Dandelion Consulting.
