Robin Rowland, CFRE, is a multi-talented nonprofit professional, with extensive experience in fundraising, communications, and public relations. Robin most identifies herself as a fundraiser, a vocation she both loves and about which she is passionate. Prior to her current role as Vice President of Donor Relations & Communications at Wayside Waifs, Robin has held leadership positions at several organizations, including the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City (HSGKC) and Avila University. As Vice President of Development at HSGKC, she successfully grew two significant fundraising events, Art Unleased and Dog-N-Jog. As Executive Director of Development at Avila University she managed a portfolio of more than 200 donors and was an integral part of the Advancement Team. And, now at Wayside Waifs, she leads a team committed to impacting the lives of animals throughout the region. As an AFP board member, Robin illustrates the highest level of ethical principles and standards set by AFP. Robin earned her CFRE in 2013, and the Advanced Leadership Certification from the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership administered by the University of Missouri-Kansas City & Junior League of Kansas City in 2015. She also earned her M.A. in Management with a concentration in Fundraising from Avila University. She has participated in the AFP Mid-America Conference on Fundraising.
