Update: BE the CAUSE, Annual Campaign

Most of you are familiar with our Annual Be the Cause campaign This is where we ask you to consider a gift to the foundation of AFP global which will be used to help further scholarship programs and other educational programming deemed essential by AFP.  We use these gifts to award scholarships for a chapter member to attend the AFP ICON conference for the first time. This year Jeremy Writt attended thanks to your gifts made to this campaign last year.

BE the CAUSE is the Foundation’s annual, unrestricted fund that supports all four pillars of our Case for Support. BE the CAUSE helps to fund local, national, and international programs including scholarships, leadership development, education and much more. A portion of every donation that a donor makes goes back to our local chapter to support local programs.

Your investment in the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy will help support local, national, and international programs:

  • Diversity & Inclusion is a pillar of the AFP Strategic Plan, scholarships for people of diverse communities is a priority.
  • Professional Development through professional development scholarships provide fundraisers and nonprofit leaders with education, training, and leadership development opportunities.
  • Research that increases knowledge of fundraising, philanthropy, and social innovation includes the Growth in Giving Initiative

Our chapter can take pride in the fact that 100% of our board has made a gift to the BE the CAUSE Campaign for three consecutive years.  Passion, purpose and pride not only drive what we do, but why we do it.  My fellow Board members and I invite you to join us by making a gift to the 2022 BE the CAUSE Campaign in support of our chapter and the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy.

Please consider a gift to help us achieve our goal of raising $1,000. Or make it monthly by utilizing the pledge form here. For more information on the impact of your gift and ways to give please click here.
