Stacy Ellison Roettger joined The Trust Company of Tennessee in 2007. She has 25 years of experience in business and individual tax planning, focusing on gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer tax planning.
Stacy earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with highest honors from the University of Tennessee and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She earned a Juris Doctorate with a concentration in business transactions with honors, also from the University of Tennessee, and a Master of Laws (LLM) in taxation from New York University. She was admitted to the Tennessee bar in 1996.
She shares her expertise on estate planning, transfer taxes and related topics through speaking engagements to community and professional groups and volunteers with industry and community organizations.
She is a member and past president of the Knoxville Estate Planning Council, a graduate of the 2017 class of Leadership Knoxville and a member of the Knoxville Bar Association. She also serves as a trust division committee member of the Tennessee Bar Association and is chair of the board of Tennessee Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection. Stacy is a member of the Tennessee Bar Foundation Fellows Class of 2023.
Kathryn Waddell, JD

Kathryn Waddell serves as Legal Counsel for The Trust Company of Tennessee, focusing primarily on trust and estate matters. In her role, Kathryn partners with client service teams to administer trusts and estates. She also coordinates with clients and their outside advisors during the estate planning process to help clients establish plans that accomplish their goals.
Kathryn graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts. She also earned her Juris Doctor from University of Tennessee College of Law with highest honors.

Chad Schollaert serves as Chief Development Officer and is charged with helping The Trust Company of Tennessee grow in a purposeful way that allows us to help more people live confidently and raise the funds we need to enhance our client experience and company culture.
Chad has over 20 years of experience in banking and investments and holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Lee University. A graduate of both the Cannon Financial Institute Retirement Plan Services and the Southern Trust School, Chad is a member of Financial Executives International (FEI) Knoxville Chapter.
He has served on the United Way of Greater Knoxville’s Outcomes Based Investments committee and has been honored as a member of the 2013 Greater Knoxville Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list of up and coming leaders and is a member of Leadership Knoxville’s Class of 2018. He serves on the board of directors for ChildHelp Tennessee and is a former member of Nucleus Knoxville.
