Everyone loves a good makeover story. Whether it’s remodeling and renovating a home, a weight loss journey or a fashion transformation…people love to witness change, the before and after.
For the past 11 years, the team at Volunteers of America Mid-States (VOA) has been busy writing their own makeover story. With a vision that began with some key organizational leadership, Tiffany Cole Hall (Chief Operating Officer) and Farrah Ferriell (Senior Director of Development) have been instrumental in helping the organization reframe the way it approaches and stewards donor relationships.
The two have worked together to move the nonprofit towards a culture where all employees (program service staff included) embrace community engagement and philanthropy. What does this look like? It involves VOA staff partnering in volunteer activities, engaging in the planning of fundraising events, participating in giving donor tours and creating “out of the box” ventures such as a social enterprise that engages clients in retail employment.
We are excited to hear from Tiffany and Farrah as they lead us through this fun, interactive and informative session. You will catch a glimpse of a truly inspirational transformation and walk away with some ideas on how to begin writing a makeover story at your own organization.CFRE APPROVED: 1 POINTCANCELLATION/REFUND POLICYIn order for AFP Greater Louisville to confirm meals and seating with the venue, cancellations must be received in writing via email by the Thursday before the event/program to be eligible for a full refund.
