About the Session:
Women control money, give money, raise money, and volunteer time. So do men.
Are there relevant differences? Sure some. But people are still people.
How does all this work?
Join us for stories from the trenches, realities in the real world, actual research and facts, implications and applications.
We will talk strategies and practical tips. What to do? Who cares? Which fights to fight for whom and with whom?
About the Speaker:
Simone P. Joyaux, ACFRE, Adv Dip
People describe Simone as a truth teller, provocative, inspirational, and thoughtful.
In January 2019, Joyaux begins her 32nd year as a consultant specializing in fund development, governance, and strategic planning. She’s a university professor, and speaks all over North America, in Europe, and as far away as Australia and New Zealand.
As a volunteer, Simone has founded two organizations and regularly serves on boards. She’s a former chair of CFRE International, Planned Parenthood of Southern New England – and she was the first chair of the Advisory Board, Hartsook Centre for Sustainable Philanthropy, Plymouth University, U.K.
She’s written 3 books (Keep Your Donors, Strategic Fund Development, and Firing Lousy Board Members), and has contributed to multiple others. She blogs as Simone Uncensored.
Simone remembers Kentucky fondly – because of the “L” city … either Louisville or Lexington – where she first saw Gone With the Wind when she young.
