IDEA Book Discussion Group

When:  Oct 27, 2022 from 12:30 PM to 01:30 PM (CT)
Associated with  AFP MB, Manitoba Chapter

The IDEA Committees from AFP Edmonton & Area AND AFP Manitoba are hosting a combined Book/Podcast Discussion Group on Thursday, October 27 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm CT.

This is a great opportunity to connect with colleagues, and share thoughts/challenges/best practices around issues of IDEA in our work and life.

The first book we will be discussing is Decolonizing Wealth by Edgar Villanueva.  Considered a “must read” for anyone involved in the philanthropic sector, Decolonizing Wealth seeks to explain how traditional philanthropy has been shaped by colonialism but money can be used as medicine for healing.  Villanueva also provides a 7-step framework for healing.

All are welcome to the discussion (whether you’ve read the book or not).

And if you don’t like reading or don’t have time, check out one of the resources or podcasts listed below, instead.  It’s a great way to access the concepts of the book without having to read it:

Join us on October 27.  Email Lisa Dayanandan (lisad@christmasbureau.ca) or Lori Stewart (lstewart@ccsonline.ca) if you have questions.

The session is free, but you must register to receive the Zoom link.
