More about John H. Cauley Jr.:

Prior to joining Cauley Coaching & Consulting, LLC, John served as the executive director of the Mid-Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross for 27 years. In addition to serving as the CEO of the Mid-Michigan Chapter, he also served as the Regional Executive Officer of the Central and Northern Michigan Region with oversight of eight Red Cross chapters serving 51 counties in Michigan.

 

During his more than 45 years in the nonprofit and public sectors, in addition to his experience with the American Red Cross, John has served as president of the Lansing Health Foundation, vice president for Public Affairs and Development at Lansing General Hospital, vice president for Campaign at the Capital Area United Way, and director of the Office of Volunteer Programs at Michigan State University.

 

Mr. Cauley received B.A., M.S., and M.L.I.R. degrees from Michigan State University. He has completed all course work towards a Doctor of Public Administration degree at Western Michigan University. In addition, Mr. Cauley has been certified as a fundraising executive by the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

 

Mr. Cauley is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and he is a founding member and past president of the Michigan Capital Area Chapter. In addition to AFP, he has also been active in the National Committee on Planned Giving. John has been recognized for his fundraising expertise by the American National Red Cross with the Paid-Staff Fund Raising Excellence Award for Planned Giving. He also received the American National Red Cross Second-Level Tiffany Award for Employee Excellence in Management and the American National Red Cross, Great Lakes Division, Presidential Award for Excellence in Revenue Generation.

 

John is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Food Bank Council of Michigan and the East Lansing Board of Education. An active Rotarian, John is past president and former board member of the Rotary Club of Lansing and is a past president and former board member of the Rotary Club of Lansing Foundation. Currently, John serves as Secretary of the Rotary Club of Lansing.
