Many nonprofit fundraisers traditionally have learned their craft through a combination of on-the-job experience and various courses and conferences. Becoming a CFRE verifies your knowledge and commitment to professionalism, ethics, and excellence in fundraising best practices to donors, grant makers, employers, peers, and the public.

About Jennifer Brooket:
Jennifer is the Associate Vice President of the Jackson College Foundation, in Jackson, Michigan. She has over a decade of experience in the mid and senior level development role at higher education institutions. A native of Michigan and a graduate of Siena Heights University, Jennifer earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees.

A Certified Fund Raising Professional (CFRE), She competed 100+ hours of additional education in fundraising and volunteer development, earning her original certificate in 2014, and recertification in 2017. Jennifer began her development career at Siena Heights University where she most recently served as Director of Development. In 2016 she accepted a position with the Jackson College Foundation, where she is currently Associate Vice President. Jennifer has served on numerous nonprofit boards, volunteers within her community and is currently the CFRE Ambassador for Michigan. She and her husband have three children and currently reside in Onsted, Michigan.
