Join us for a detailed discussion on accessibility and fundraising. Global Accessibility Awareness Day is a day focusing on digital access and inclusion for the more than one billion people with disabilities and impairments. It is marked annually on the third Thursday of May. The purpose of GAAD is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access and inclusion. This event will explore what it means to be more accessible for industry professionals and the constituents we serve both in a digital and a physical capacity. It is our hope that participants will learn to identify barriers and problem solve efficient and effective solutions to help make our industry a better place for people of all abilities.SpeakersDessa Cosma (more about Dessa)Executive Director, Detroit Disability PowerMarcy Colton (more about Marcy)Executive Director, Deaf Community Action NetworkChristopher Samp (more about Christopher)Director, Office of Disability Affairs, City of DetroitHostDebbie Mitre-Smith (more about Debbie)Community Advocate, AFP IDEA Committee MemberInterpretersStacey HacheyJessica SpearmanThis program is free for AFP members and non-members but registration is required.Approved CFRE credits: 1.5 credit hoursREGISTER HERERegistration will close at 12:00 PM on May 19.
