Effectively telling your nonprofit story is crucial to mission success, whether you are fundraising, attracting new partners, writing grants, or recruiting volunteers. And in today's landscape, video is king -- as the most sharable medium, making up 75% of all online traffic. During this session, we'll take stock of your storytelling assets and create your own story database. We'll go over best practices for video, and the tips and tricks, and apps you need to do it all on your own. Be ready to work. Bring your laptop and cellphone -- we'll bring the inspiration.

Our Speaker - Sara Shookman

Sara Shookman believes stories make us human. She loves to tell them and to see how they inspire change. Sara is an Emmy and Murrow award-winning television journalist, speaker, and host. In 2023, she launched Storyglow Studio to offer organizations on a mission a clear path forward, using content strategy and creation to maximize their impact. For a decade, Sara was part of the main evening anchor team at Cleveland’s WKYC 3 News, covering local, national, and international news. Her two Olympic stints were a favorite assignment. Multi-platform literate, her work has won nine Emmys, a Murrow, and awards from the Associated Press and the Cleveland Press Club. Sara is always seeking out stories that raise the voices of women and advocate for the underdog. The world should know your story. Strategic narrative content is the most efficient way to capture attention and grow. And Storyglow can get you there.
