PRESENTERS:

Danae Labocki and Chad Crawford, co-founders of IMMIX, bring over three decades of rich, diverse experience in marketing and development. IMMIX means “to mix in”– words that describe what they do so well. Excelling in crafting cost-effective, strategic, and creative solutions, they help local organizations achieve sustainable growth. Their work, deeply attuned to the varied needs of organizations, showcases their commitment to impactful and lasting
marketing and development.

Danae and Chad’s approach is centered around relationships, so much so that they suggest renaming marketing and development to "Flirting, Dating, and Marriage for Your Organization!" This reflects their focus on building and maintaining meaningful connections, a cornerstone of
their success.

Their expertise shines through creative campaigns and data-driven, innovative strategies, catering to a wide range of nonprofits and businesses.

Over the past year, they’ve embraced AI, integrating it into many facets of their work. This technology aids in crafting engaging copy, analyzing data from social media and ad reports, prompting creative ideas, and more.

Passion is the heart of IMMIX. Danae and Chad are deeply committed to the Greater Akron community they live, work, and serve. Their involvement in various organizations and initiatives such as the Christian Community Development Association, Kingdom Leadership Alliance, serving on the Young Life Greater Akron committee (Chad) and the board of Free to Be (Danae), as well as their founding of Buy Local Serve Local, reflects their commitment to fostering a sense of unity, connection, and generosity in the community they love.

Danny Porter is Senior Associate Director of Digital Communications at Kent State University, where he leads digital strategy, web development, and the integration of emerging technologies across philanthropic and alumni engagement platforms.

His career includes roles with the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Obama for America, Everytown for Gun Safety, the Ohio Democratic Party, and the Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme. His current work focuses on streamlining digital workflows and advancing institutional communications.

He also serves on the board of the Canton Symphony Orchestra.

Danielle Hupp, MPA is the Director of Communications and Annual Giving at Kent State University, where she drives innovative alumni giving campaigns that have significantly impacted the university's fundraising success. Under her leadership, the annual Giving Tuesday initiative has consistently raised over $1 million each year for the past six years, showcasing her ability to blend strategic planning with a deep understanding of donor motivations.

Danielle's approach to fundraising is deeply rooted in the belief that "people give to people." She emphasizes the power of authentic relationships, both in her professional work and personal life. Before her tenure at Kent State, she gained invaluable experience working with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and the National Inventors Hall of Fame, where she honed her skills in communications, fundraising, and volunteer management.

With a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration from Kent State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Danielle combines her academic background with practical experience to lead effective, mission-driven campaigns. She is also actively involved in the Akron community, where she volunteers her time and expertise to various local organizations.

Passionate about fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation, Danielle is committed to advancing the field of higher education fundraising and communications. She seeks to inspire others through thought leadership and strategic initiatives that drive positive, lasting change.
