The Association of Fundraising Professionals NEPA Chapter will host a “Securing Donor Support in 300 Seconds or Less” workshop, presented by Catherine D. Shafer, president of cds creative, inc., on February 12th at The Café in Plains from 11:30 AM -1:30 PM.
When you first meet a potential donor, foundation officer, volunteer, or advocate, you’re often given a very short window of time. In five minutes (or less), you must convey your mission, show your impact and encourage people to act. In this workshop, veteran communications and public relations coach Catherine Shafer from cds creative, inc. will engage participants in defining what their organization’s “brand” is. (Hint: It’s not your mission statement!) Participants will identify the ways you can use branding methods to reinforce your message and help participants develop a solid “pitch” that will help secure support in five minutes (or less!).
Registration is $20 for AFP (only) members and $30 for non members, lunch included.
