Join us as we provide an in-depth exploration of financial practices and accessing financial information for nonprofit organizations. Topics of discussion wil include reading a nonprofit organization's 990, identifying red flags within an organization's financial structure, how to read a budget and balance sheet, and best practices for addressing budget shortfalls and other challenges we face a we plan on an organization's fiscal future.

Speaker Cecillia Rivas, Chief Financial Officer for United Way of Central New Mexico, offers a wealth of experience in the realm of nonprofit financial practices. At United Way, Cecillia makes sure that incoming funds are tracked properly and all expenditures authorized. Working for nonprofits that do tremendous good in the community has been her passion for most of her career. She loves to help make each organization better by providing financial accountability for donors and has been doing just that for over 25 years!
