Fundraising Practicum at St. FX University  |   May 15, 2019

St Francis Xavier University is proud to host for the second year AFP-Nova Scotia Fundraising Practicum. This event brings together professional fundraisers, experts and community leaders to learn and share best practices. 

The format will consist of a short delivery on specific topic of expertise followed by an exchange of experiences, best practices and sharing of knowledge. We will be exploring topics related to the philanthropic sector, specifically with a focus on your leadership role.

Participants always welcome to bring models or specific examples of their work, to be share with the group at the end of the day.

St Francis Xavier University - 5555 Union Place

Bloomfield  Centre   -  Council Chambers on the 4th floor (Room # 427)

Off St. Ninian Street, turn on to Notre Dame Avenue (corner of St. Ninian Cathedral).
Pass the Cathedral and Mulroney Institute.
Lane Building Hall will be to your left (parking is available behind Lane Building Hall).
Bloomfield Building Centre will be a bit further up to your right. 

You can also turn on Convocation Boulevard off of James and West.
Follow Varsity Drive around the Keating Centre onto Notre-Dame Avenue.
There is a public parking at the corner of Varsity Drive and Notre-Dame Avenue.
The Bloomfield Centre is just adjacent to this parking.

Kathleen.jpgKathleen A. Provost, CFRE was appointed St. Francis Xavier University’s Campaign Director after tenure of more than 4 years at Coady International Institute. She brings over 25 years of fundraising experience within the not-for-profit sector.

Her career has brought her from Quebec, to Ontario and Nova Scotia. As a long-time member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Kathleen is a recognized leader in the field of fundraising; has been a CFRE since 2007; and can tailor to French and English audiences. She has spoken on Ethics, Resource Mobilization, Campaign Development and other numerous Fundraising Strategies.

Founder and president of Chavender, Jenny Mitchell (CFRE, DMA), works closely with not-for-profit leaders to change the world - one mission at a time. Chavender assists clients, across Canada and the U.S., to inspire their donors and achieve their fundraising goals through personalized fundraising coaching and training.
