Session Overview:

You don’t have to have a legal background or a sophisticated program to engage supporters in legacy giving — it starts with connections, conversations, and a compelling vision. This session will help you ignite donors’ excitement about your organization’s future, uncover hidden legacy donors, and make legacy giving feel personal, powerful, and possible — for you and your supporters. You’ll learn how to meet donors where they are, inspire them to imagine their lasting impact, and take action with confidence — no matter where your program stands today.

Session Objectives:

  • Recognize that it’s never too late to start (or grow) a legacy giving program and that every organization has potential.

  • Develop inspiring legacy messaging that connects your vision and values with donors’ desire for lasting impact.

  • Understand who to focus on when starting or expanding your legacy outreach.

  • Identify simple ways to uncover existing legacy donors.

  • Confidently engage in legacy conversations — without needing to be a technical expert.
