In partnership with the Association of Fundraising Professionals, NWO Chapter, we are pleased to host Dr. Richard Markoff as our lead presenter and panel moderator for this workshop. Dr. Markoff is the author of the book titled:  Million-Dollar Moments and the Amazing Professionals Who Helped Make Them Possible. Panels of experienced fundraising professionals and seasoned donors will discuss the art of making significant impact through major gifts.

About the author, presenter and moderator, Dr. Richard Markoff

A native of Fostoria, Ohio, Dr. Markoff holds degrees from Western Michigan University (B.A., 1968), the University of Missouri-Columbia (M.Ed., 1970) and The University of Toledo (Ph.D., 1978). Rick was elected President of Western’s Class of 1968. As a Field Artillery officer in the United States Army, he was awarded the Bronze Star and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm. The former Western Michigan University and Adrian College administrator was recognized by The University of Toledo College of Education in 2008 with its Distinguished Achievement Award. Dr. Markoff has spoken at more than 50 high school graduations from Massachusetts to Washington, Florida to Texas. He was featured in Advancing Philanthropy, “One on One,” May-June, 2010. And, his 2020 creation, The Greatest Conference Never Held, is utilized as a model for Rotary Club programming throughout Indiana.  Dr. Markoff is the 2021-2022 Rotarian of the Year for the Rotary Club of Carmel, Indiana.
