Professional Self-Care for a New Way of Work – an Interactive Discussion with Laura Ward, LMFT, CT  

Laura will share some of her own personal experiences of coping through the pandemic and how she transitioned to working from home while simultaneously starting in a new position. Besides discussing practical ways of maintaining professional wellness and staying motivated, Laura will facilitate an interactive discussion focused on how we as professionals can maintain connection to ourselves, our co-workers and the mission of our organization while working remotely.  Please join us to share what has inspired you and kept you moving forward during this challenging time.

 

Bio: 

Laura Ward, LMFT, CT is the Manager of Psychosocial Services at Hospicare and has been a bereavement counselor for 6 years.  Previously, Laura worked as a crisis clinician and counselor at various non-profit counseling agencies and taught developmental psychology courses as an adjunct at TC3.  In addition, Laura spent 10 years working in the area of mediation and collaborative law as a child specialist, divorce mediator and coach. During this time, Laura presented on both regionally and nationally on topics related to supporting LGBTQAI individuals and families through the process of separation, divorce and co-parenting.
