Date: Monday, September 16, 2019
Time: 8am - 9am
1187 Troy Schenectady Rd # 101, Latham, NY 12110
Come and join AFP Hudson Mohawk's Young Professional Group to connect and meet with other young professional fundraisers in the New York Capital Region. This month's topic is Networking beats NOTworking with Dr. Tom Denham of Careers in Transition.
Based on a successful job searching session, Dr. Tom Denham will provide an informative session on networking. Unfortunately, many fundraisers spend too much time in their office or spend far too much time on the Internet and too little time using the #1 donor search technique: networking. Discover the tactics it takes to engage with the people you really want. During this session, you will learn how to develop an elevator speech, how to work a room, and unlock the three Circles of Influence. You will also learn how to integrate social media into a comprehensive networking strategy. You will come away with methods to master this “contact” sport.
