High-Performance Fundraising: Understanding Staff, Board and Donor Styles to Build a Cohesive, High-

When:  Nov 5, 2019 from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM (PT)

Jeri Alcock, Board Member, Association of Fundraising Professionals of Oregon and SW Washington, Partner & Senior Consultant, Rose City Philanthropy

Building on the concept of the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team by Patrick Lencioni, participants will learn how to promote and support greater trust, productive conflict, commitment, accountability, and a focus on collective results as they relate to fundraising roles and responsibilities.

We’ll then apply the Five Behaviors to donor outreach by learning to recognize and work with four distinct donor styles: Dominant, Inspiring, Cautious, Supportive. Most of us favor one over the other, but we can understand how best to work with every style by understanding their motivations and the types of opportunities to which they’ll respond.

This session will have something of value for board members, executive directors, development teams or the person who wears all those hats!

The day is designed for those who want to move beyond the “why and what” your board, team, or volunteers should be doing and begin to address the root causes of weak engagement or inaction. We’ll focus on developing a results-oriented mindset that practices compassion and honors dignity.

This workshop is made possible with support from The Ford Family Foundation!
