Education Session:
New Trends in Donor Stewardship: Saying Thank You all year long

As fundraisers we work so hard to secure the gift and then forget that our donors deserve much more than just a thank you letter. In this interactive session participants will see real examples of ways to say thanks all year long through cards, pictures, notes, and other cost effective, yet much appreciated ways. After all, have you ever had a donor say “Will you stop thanking me?”

We all know that relationship building is the key to our success as fundraisers and this session will provide examples of board thank you call scripts, creative pictures and notes about donors gifts in action, how to create a Stewardship/Impact report, and other fun ways to let our donors know we appreciate them long after their gift came in.

About the Presenter:

Mark Chilutti joined the staff of Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in
Philadelphia as the Director of Major Gifts in 2001, after several years as
a key volunteer. In March of 2007 he was promoted to Assistant Vice
President of Development. In his current position, Mark is responsible for
the solicitation and cultivation of major gifts, planned giving, led the
recent capital campaign, and is involved in board development.

During his time at Magee he has helped this 83 bed inner-city hospital to raise over $30,000,000 to improve the quality of life of individuals with disabilities. Special projects funded through his efforts include a Dialysis Unit, the Center for Communication & Swallowing, the Vision
Assessment Center and the Creative Therapy Center and Healing Gardens.
