Fundraisers and bookkeepers in small and mid-size organizations are expected to wear many hats. Knowledge and process gaps between fundraisers and bookkeepers are common in the industry. This workshop will review best practices and provide common sense strategies to tackle three common pain points 1) How to record and account for restricted gifts, pledges, monthly and multi-year gifts 2) How to coordinate a monthly reconciliation between fundraising and accounting, 3) How to separate duties to reduce the risk of fraud and theft to make your Executive Director and auditor happy in a COVID environment.

You’ll leave this workshop with a stronger knowledge base, and at least one straightforward way to improve your organization’s business processes.

Fundraisers are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop with their organization's bookkeeper, or their Executive Director. To receive the free member price only one of the pair needs to be an AFP member. For non-members the $10 registration fee covers both participants.

Registration is limited to 20 to accommodate an interactive presentation style, so don’t wait to register today.
