Fund Development Consultant - Part Time

JOB SUMMARY:

CityKidz Regina is a Christian-faith based organization whose mission is to help improve the lives of children growing up with the challenges of poverty. We work to support the children and empowered to break the negative cycles in their lives and become success stories. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

● Review and renew the fund development strategy for CityKidz Regina.
● Responsible for meeting annual revenue and activity targets through donor relations and grant applications.
● Grow the number of community events, business and church partnerships, and individual donors through proactive strategies and building relationships.
● Secure sponsorship for CityKidz Regina events.
● Provide support to event organizing committees.
● Responsible for the financial tracking of event expenses and SLGA licenses and ensure accurate charitable receipting processes and regulations are adhered to.
● Ensure events are promoted on the CityKidz Regina website and/or social media channels.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

● Strong project management skills, with proven ability to manage timelines and budgets
● Experience in successfully securing donations and event sponsorship
● Thoroughness, accuracy, and attention to detail in all aspects of work
● Strong relationship building skills
● Self-motivated along with the ability to work in a team environment
● Strong written and oral communication skills
● Understanding of, and strong commitment to, fundraising ethical principles
● Professional manner

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

● 3-5 years of fundraising, marketing or sales experience
● Experience in working with volunteers and community groups
● Project management experience
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

OCCUPATIONAL NEEDS

The Fundraising Consultant works 20-25 hours per week. The Fundraising Consultant will work remotely with access to the CityKidz Office. Weekend and evening work is occasionally required to support community and Foundation events and to get to know the CityKidz model by participating in occasional Saturday Program, Youth Nights, and connect visits.

A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.

Location: Regina, Saskatchewan.

The salary range for this position is $25,000 - $40,000 per year.

The position will be reviewed in six months with the potential to eventually become a full-time position.
